Don't be fooled by so-called, "Brake Specialists" that offer extremely low prices to replace your brakes. First, you get what you pay for, and second you will almost never get just your brake pads and or rotors  turned or replaced. There will almost always be more work to do that will drive the cost of your brake repair up higher than promised.

When Bridwell Automotive begins a brake job on most American and Japanese brand automobiles, we find that in almost every case, a brake pad replacement with some resurfacing of the rotors, discs or drums is all that is needed. The more serious problem is the need to replace the brake rotors, discs, or drums because of failure to replace the pads earlier, before they got down to metal on metal. Now if you were to just resurface, it would not be enough to make your brakes safe. We can show you the difference on your vehicle when you come in for brakes service.

European cars are a little bit different. They often require that the brake pads, rotors or discs be replaced each time a brake service is performed.

Take our challenge and call a dealership and another independent repair shop for estimates. They will both tell you the same thing. Brake specialist type shops hope that once your car is at their shop you will not pull your car out because it "requires" more work than theit initial 'low ball' price allows.
